This design for a staff accommodation tower is located on a compact plot in Jumeirah Village Circle (JVC). It comprises a basement, ground floor, four levels of parking, a first floor containing amenities – including dining, swimming pool and fitness area – as well as 16 floors of residential units. Lacasa optimised the client’s design idea by shortening the tower and increasing the floor plate slightly.
The architectural expression is a simple composition using repeated glass partitions, with extra flair on the podium and crest design. An angular roof feature provides a sculptural focal point. Timber-like cladding adds warmth and colour to the façade, while a bus-drop off area on the ground floor provides access to the street. All services are contained in the basement level due to the compact plot size.
