Hinged around an iconic tower, this competition entry for Ajman Free Zone called for the design of a government and private business district. Offering a direct connection with the port to facilitate business, the scheme also includes a hotel and conference amenities. In plan, the tower is made up of three separate elements, surrounding a central core containing all services.
The skyscraper’s twisted, sculpted form is inspired by the idea of a lighthouse, which rotates to transmit signals. Another standout quality is the series of hanging gardens occupying the height of four storeys and offers sweeping views over Ajman, while enhancing the work environment for building occupants. Upper levels feature VIP wings facing the sea.
