Covering approximately 30,000 square metres in Jumeirah Village Circle, this huge project provides accommodation for 3,000 staff of Atlantis Phase 2. Now under construction, the main challenge for Lacasa was the huge building programme combined with an extremely tight timeframe for design and construction before the hotel’s opng.
Another challenge was ensuring the circulation maintains segregation between staff and managers, and between bachelors, ladies and families. The building contains studios apartments, one and two beds, a 24/7 restaurant and a multi-sports hall for all Atlantis staff. Externally, the well-balanced façades feature strong verticality, with stone cladding at lower levels. Interior spaces, even for the lowest grade staff, are designed for comfortable living and privacy.
